Legal Services Unit functions
To provide legal services and advice to the Agency.
The unit will perform the following activities:
(i) Provide legal advice, opinions and guidance to the Agency.
(ii) Advice the Agency on matters pertaining to all legislation, rules, regulations and government policies to ensure compliance.
(iii) Draft, review or vet all contracts or any other documentation where the Agency has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the management's attention.
(iv) Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities of the Agency.
(v) To be custodian of the Agency's seal and title deed's.
(vi) Monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.
(vii) Represent and defend the Agency's interest in courts and government bodies.
(viii) Lead the Secretariat of the Ministerial Advisory Board meetings.
